Billboard campaign
Trafficking starts here.
Do you know who is talking to your child? Predators use phones, apps, and social media to groom and sell people in Tarrant County.

If you saw the board tonight, you are in the right room.
Report danger. Learn the signs. Sit with the Tarrant County 5 Stones Taskforce if you want to do the work.

What Thorn found
It often starts on a phone.
From Thorn’s research on domestic minor sex trafficking, which this campaign has used since the first boards went up.
- Average age of entry into commercial sexual exploitation is roughly 12 to 14. The age named most often was 15.
- One in six people in that study said they were trafficked before age 12.
- Of 260 survivors, 55 percent met their trafficker by text, website, or app. 75 percent were advertised online.
